1. Man Going Down
"Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom" (Job 33:24).

2. The Lord Looked Down
"The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none, that doeth good, no, not one" (Ps. 14:2, 3).

3. The Lord Came Down
"For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me" (John 6:33, 38, 41, 51; Phil. 2:5-8).

4. The Lord Laid Down
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren" (I John 3:16; John 10:18).

5. The Lord Sat Down
"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1:3)

6. The Lord Coming Down
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words" (I Thess. 4:16-18).
