The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
The Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth
and of all things visible and invisible;

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only begotten Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
light from light, true God from True God,
begotten not made,
of one substance with the Father.
By Him all things were made.

For us men and our salvation
He came down from heaven,
was made flesh from the Holy Spirit
and Mary the virgin and became man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
suffered and was buried.

He rose again on the third day,
according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven.
He sits on the right hand of the Father
and will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His Kingdom will never end;

And in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord and life-giver, who proceeds from the Father.
Together with the Father and the Son
He is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets;

And in one holy catholic* and apostolic church.
We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the age to come. AMEN

(* NOTE: use of the word ‘catholic’ here does not refer to a particular denomination. It simply means ‘universal’. In this creed it refers to the fact that in God’s eyes all who affirm what is stated in this creed belong to one Christian church, regardless of race, denomination or sect.)

Smith Wigglesworth

Smith Wigglesworth was without doubt one of the most anointed men of God that has lived in recent times. He was known as the Apostle of Faith, and if anyone deserved to be described as "full of faith and of the Holy Ghost", it was him. He lived and walked continually in the presence of God. And the miracles that accompanied his ministry were of the sort that have seldom been seen since the days of the apostles. People born blind and deaf, cripples - twisted and deformed by disease, others on death's door with cancer or sickness of every kind,- all were healed by the mighty power of God. Even the dead were raised.

Born in 1859 into poverty, Smith Wigglesworth was converted by the Methodists at eight years of age. Even then, he was hungry for God and hungry for souls. He was in the choir of the local Episcopal church.

"When most of the boys in the choir were twelve years of age they had to be confirmed by the bishop. I was not twelve, but between nine and ten, when the bishop laid his hands on me. I can remember that as he imposed his hands I had a similar experience to the one I had forty years later when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. My whole body was filled with the consciousness of God's presence, a consciousness that remained with me for days.

After the confirmation service all the other boys were swearing and quarreling, and I wondered what had made the difference between them and me."

A Memoir On John Bunyan

ImageTHE life of John Bunyan is a very precious record of the grace of God. No other man's history that ever lived is more worthy of study for this particular object - to trace the workings of God's Spirit, in connection with the inter positions of his providence, in carrying on in an individual soul the great work of sanctification, and through that soul, thus prepared, the great work of redemption for multitudes, even to the end of time.

Men take a deep interest in exploring the sources of a great-river, especially if they are mysterious, if they require you to traverse surprising scenes and wonders of nature, vast deserts, great mountains, stupendous rapids and-cataracts. And if the river is a fountain of life to millions, and of in exhaustible fertility to grand regions, making them a granary almost for the world, then so much the deeper is the interest.

And some what such is the feeling with which we trace the course of divine love and providential mercy in the incidents and experiences of such a child of God as Bunyan, out of whose genius and conflicts, under the inspiration of heavenly grace, it has pleased the Giver of all good to cause to flow forth a river of the water of life for all generations.

Powerful Prayer

Prayer for mercyHeavenly Father, I bow in worship and praise before you.

I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as my protection. I surrender myself completely and unreservedly in every area of my life to You.

I take a stand against all the workings of Satan, that would hinder me in my prayer life.

I address myself only to the True and Living God and refuse any involvement of Satan in my prayer.

Satan, I command you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave my presence with all your demons.

I bring the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between us. It surrounds me like a mighty wall that you cannot penetrate.

Heavenly Father, I worship You and give You praise. I recognize that You are worthy to receive all glory and honor and praise. I renew my allegiance to You and pray that the blessed Holy Spirit would enable me in this time of prayer.

Don`t let fear take controll

The truth about fear is quite simpel. When you fear you will loose something, you will loose it. (Job 3,25 What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.)

Why not take everything you fear that you will loose, give it with a willing heart to God. Give it away.

Let God take over every belonging you got!

Do you want to know a little secret? Ok, what about this: God is the owner for ALL your belongings anyway. If you give it to Him, or not. There will be NO difference for God, because it is allready His. Leave it in His hands, and think about it again, don`t take it back. The buity for this is: When you anything you have given away to God, ask God for the permission to use it again. Respect the answer you get from your loving God The Father!

It`s like a bank. You put it in to an bank account belonging to God. When ever you realy needs it, God will give it for you to use it.

What you hang on to - you will loose. What you give away with a joyfull and willing heart, you will get back many times.

Prayer tips

Pray Locally

Prayer is talking to God
Prayer is talking to God

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover a certain area regularly in prayer -

Example: You and two friends, commit to pray each day for 15 minutes for the area of US Ohio, you can enter prayer requests for this area, pray for all requests in this area and lift the people up with personalized messages, develop your area, make the Interactive Prayer System known in other churches and areas of your state, connect with Intercessors around you in your area and develop a plan who takes over which day, so that the whole month is covered in prayer, form a group and let us know how you are organized (webmaster(at)prayerandbiblecenter(dot)com), and connect with other prayer groups around the country.

Pray Timely

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover prayer requests from a certain day, eg.: Mona prays for every prayer request posted on the 1st, George and Mary pray for every prayer request posted on the 2nd, and so on. You can also pray for the prayer requests at the end of the list, which will fall out the very next day- remember prayer requests are only stored for 30 days, on the 31st day they are automatically deleted- Pray therefore for the highest pages as they will fall out first.

Pray Categories

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover prayer requests from a certain category, eg.: Ron prays for every prayer request posted for Great Commission, Linda and Beverly pray for every prayer request posted for work related issues, and so on. You can also pray for  prayer requests in a category and a certain region at the same time, e.g. Hans is praying for prayer requests in Sudan that have to do with Hunger, Molly prays for prayer requests from England in the category Witchcraft and Occult.

Pray with Holy Inspiration

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover prayer requests, which as you read them, the Holy Spirit seems to impress on you to pray for that person- Listen to the soft voice of the Holy Spirit and lift up and build and encourage by sharing the Good News.

Pray using Scripture

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover the people who posted a request by encouraging them using the Word of God in your prayer-

Tip: In order that you do not have to retype Scripture verses, use our online bible tool to search for the scripture you are looking for and copy and paste into your personalized message.

Pray with your cell group

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover prayer requests which were posted either in your area or for a specific political situation in a country, print out the prayer requests from the Interactive Prayer Board and take it to your next Cell Group Meeting, be the one who takes the initiative-

Mobilize Prayer!

Pray regularly

Commit either yourself or even better together with a group of intercessors to cover prayer requests regularly - Find your own system of who covers what and when, but once installed and agreed on , keep on Praying - it is the Lord's joy to see His people praying to Him, worshipping Him and having faith, being united in prayer and He will answer our prayers!

Who do we look like?

Baptism of Jesus
Do we have the character like Jesus

I am shure you have been looking at some baby, trying to see whether the baby look more like the father or the mother. This image caused me to ponder about the characteristics others see when they are looking at us. It left me wondering if our neighbours and friends see the resemblance to our Creator when they look at us. Do we look like our heavenly Father? Does our countenance reflect the image of His holiness?

God, today we come to You, asking that You will help us to reflect You in all we say and do, so that others will see You in us.
