Why write articles/ sermons

I am planing to bring you as our member, with your photo among the featured authors at our website. What you need to do to get there, is quite simple. Just write a few articles, like 4 - 5, and your photo will be there.

Why is that important?

When your photo is among the featured authors, your ministry will be more noticed by more people. Consider this: You don`t need many persons that supports your vision, for it to be a reality. You may only need one person that believes in your vision, to finance it. The point is 1) Your ministry is noticed by this one person. 2) That person have the funds to support your vision.

How can I find this person?
The best known way for marketing through the Internet today, is by writing articles. I see that every day. Where do ex. Dr. John C. Maxwell or other known authors and preachers, get the huge audience from? By writing a lot of articles and books. (e didn`t start with the books I suppose)

Writing articles is proven to be the best way to promote your Christian ministry through the Internet. You may use three to four hours to write a good article, but after you have done one article, many people will read it, for years to come. You can even earn some dollars on the way.

A Watershed Truth

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 CORINTHIANS 13:13

edithandfrancisschaeffer.jpgThat great Christian, Francis Schaeffer, said that he would have remained an agnostic if it weren't for the doctrine of the Trinity. It was this, he claimed, that gave him the answer - the only answer - to the theme of unity and diversity.

The writing cloud - your idea bank

In my experiences in writing over the years, I found that making a bank of ideas is very useful. I simply don`t remember all the idea`s on articles I get during one day. Or I get many ideas during the research, and if I should not forget it I need to write it down.

Have you ever been walking somewhere, starting thinking at a specific subject like a Bible passage, a story you heard or something else. You are thinking that you need to remember this to the sermon on Sunday. But what happened so many times? When you get to the sermon preparation, you simply forget the key points in the idea, or you just forgot the whole idea/ thoughts.

What can you do, that actually will ..

..help you remember all your sermon/ teachings or idea`s, for the future writing and preaching?

The point of writing an article, is to get people read it. If you got an other reason, it is better using your time doing something else.

Reason one is this:

You have a message. You have some ideas. You have some thoughts.
You need to share it. You need the message to get to somebody else.

This is one of the reasons why you should write sermons and articles.

Reason two is this:

You need finances to the ministry!

Getting finances to the ministry is not easy. And it is not more easy through the Internet. You are going to do a lot of mistakes, before you earnestly can say you master it. It is like going to school again. If you don`t already master this subject, you need to learn it.
Please read on, and I am sure you will be the next author .....

About Alexander Maclaren

Alexander Maclaren (1826-1910) — was one of Great Britain's most notable and famous preachers.

While he was pastor of the Union Chapel, Manchester (1858-1903), he was known as "the prince of expository preachers." He seldom participated in denominational or civic affairs, but invested his time studying the Word and shared its truths with others in sermons that are still models of effective expository preaching. Maclaren published a number of books of sermons and he climaxed his ministry by publishing his monumental Expositions of Holy Scripture.

Did you know the best way to attract Christians and others to your ministry at the Internet as well as the traditional world? Not? That is writing articles? Write articles just about anything in your life and ministry.

Another thing is to write testimonies about what God is doing through your ministry.

I_love_him_small.gif Please understand, it is vital to make Christians confident in your testimony and your ministry. There are so much scam at the Internet, so I don`t blame people that are sceptic. Publish more articles, and not less. This is an important part of serving God. When this is done the right way, it will Glorify God!

How should you write articles and testimonies?

church.gif Most Christians don`t even know how to tell others what God has done for them. And why is it so? The reason for this, is that nobody have taken the time and effort to teach them. I am sure you remember the most cited Bible scripture in {bible}Matt 28:19-20{/bible}:

"Go therefore[fn3] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

What does that mean for the Church and the Church growth, when most of the members don`t know how to share the Good News with others? The result will be and is, that very seldom or never, there will be new people coming to the Church meetings.

What should you write about?

Just about anything. But make it personal! Share anything you would share with your most trusted brother. If it does not fit to our website, I will just edit it and arrange it so it will. The important thing is that you share your life and ministry. (That is the testimony of what God is doing in your life)

What does the Church teach?

The normal teaching is:

  1. How we become a Christian
  2. How do I live a Christian life
  3. What we have in Christ
  4. Theological teaching

Very seldom we hear teaching on:

  • How to make disciples?
  • How to tell others about what God is doing in your life?

Why not invest some more time and effort to teach the members how to make disciples them self, and not leave all to the professionals!

The Church will experience a stream of new converts coming to the meetings. We will experience real Church growth and renewal of the Christians, and only transfer of Christians from one Church to another. It might not be so many new peoples that make the actually conversion in the Church meetings, but so what? People are getting saved and brought to the Church, and that is what counts in the end of the day.

According to statistic most of the Christians don`t become converts in a meetings, but rather at other places, like in the home, or with some friends.

This teaching needs increased focus, and be intensified. What will the result be? The result will be growing Churches, and God will be glorified.

PS! One of the effects of this teaching will be Church growth, and Christians that feel satisfied and valued. (What can be more satisfaction than leading a person to salvation in Christ)

Writing a testimony and writing and articles is pretty much done according to the same guidelines.
Read on, and you will find out how to write a testimony and an article.

Can a Good Lawyer Be a Good Christian

You can find articles at the Internet about practically anything. Example this article about lawyers and Christians.

This is a book review:

Can a Good Christian Be a Good Lawyer?: Homilies, Witnesses & Reflections. Thomas E. Baker and Timothy W. Floyd, eds., University of Notre Dame Press, 1998. 206 pp. $20.00.

This volume, perhaps better named Can a Good Lawyer Be a Good Christian, is written by lawyers, about lawyers, and largely for lawyers. It consists of essays collected by Professors Baker and Lloyd of the Texas Tech Law School. The legally-trained essayists are denominational diverse and equally diverse in legal experience. They are litigators, judges, transactional attorneys, legal aid lawyers, and lobbyists; some also hold divinity degrees.

Some essays are general discourses on the title question. Most, however, describe anecdotal the manner in which the writers strive to be good Christians as well as good lawyers. This book is not exactly a page-turner, and the essays, many annotated like appellate briefs, are best read selectively, a few at a time. While the volume is slanted toward professionals, non-lawyers may enjoy learning that at least some attorneys, caricatured in tiresome lawyer jokes, work hard to live their faith while practicing law.
